After reading so many hateful comments on basically all the photos from this place I feel like I should start this caption with a huge disclaimer: WE STAYED ONLY ON THE PATHS AND WE PHOTOGRAPHED ONLY IN AREAS WHERE IT WAS PERMITTED. THIS AREA IN THE PHOTO WAS OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC. THE CLOSED AREAS WERE MARKED WITH SIGNS AND STRINGS. WE DID NOT STEP ON OR EVEN CAME CLOSE TO STEPPING ON ANY POPPIES. IN THE PHOTO I AM STANDING ON THE DESIGNATED PATH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION. If you’re still going to comment about this on my photo I will report you for hate speech and bloke you. Cheerio! 

Today we drove to the Walker Canyon to check out the super bloom. It was quite impressive. Hills spreading as far as you can see covered in orange California poppies. Things I learned today: - There might not be any kind of attraction in the States without a huge crowd at all times.  - Even if you’re on a dirt road, if you park your car facing the opposite direction than the one of driving, you’re going to get a fine. That’s what happened to us and to (probably) a few more tourists. -  Carpool lanes are awesome. (Carpool lanes are restricted traffic lanes reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles with a driver and one or more passengers)

I’ve been posting my photos of the superbloom for a week. I have some that I will post later on from my hike into the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. Next week, my plans are to visit Anza-Borrego Desert on Monday and then a couple of days in Joshua Tree National Park and a few adjacent areas where I know the superbloom is happening.

Some of the photos and one video from this article from the Washington Post. Ignore the video music...icky. But the video is accurately showing you what it’s like to walk among the flowers in the desert and in other areas of Southern California.

Had a chance to go see walker canyon super bloom last MOnday and It's incredibly beautiful. The hike itself is a great workout. For those who love nature, this is a fantastic place in spring specially for those who live in LA.I suggest you go early during the weekdays to beat the crowd and be respectful of others as well as the nature! It was a nice easy-moderate hike, very secluded cuz we went to the other entrance and spent ~2 hours on a leisurely stroll sniffing all the poppies and sampling the dirt 😂 (and of course we didn’t trample on the poppies). .. .. It’s really starting to feel like fall to me. The sun going down earlier, pumpkins in every grocery store, and the cooler nights are setting in and for the first time, possibly in my whole life, I am actually looking forward it all.
